Come down for our third Dance Hall event, where we clear the hall, get a band on stage, and put on a social dance! Beginner salsa lesson at 6:30pm and live music starts at 7 - all levels are welcome, partner or no. For you salseros and salseras, you’ll recognize classics by Willie Colon, Eddie Palmieri, Ruben Blades and many more. Tie on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake a tail feather! Please feel free to arrive after 6:30pm - there will be rolling admissions for this evening.
Please note that seating is very limited for this event - most of the hall will be open for dancing. There will be seats available in the Terrace Lounge for resting.

Founded in 2005, LA Picante plays a celebrated blend of classic salsa, collectively drawing from years of experience playing with the top latin-jazz and salsa groups in Los Angeles. This outfit of seven musicians has traveled throughout the world sharing the stage with such acts as Stevie Wonder, Taj Mahal, Tambu, Jay McNeeley and Poncho Sanchez among others.
Stop by early for information on the Beach House by docents from the Santa Monica Conservancy before every Beach=Culture evening, from 5:15-6:15pm.
Tickets are free but space is limited and reservations are required. If you would like to attend, please reserve online. For this event there will be rolling admissions - we encourage latecomers! Directions: The Beach House is located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica, CA 90402 on the west side of Pacific Coast Highway, a half mile north of the California Incline and a half mile south of Chautauqua Blvd. Plenty of public parking is available - enter off PCH at the Beach House Way traffic light. The facility is easily accessible by foot or bike from the beach bike path, although the Beach closes at sunset. There is ample bike parking at racks throughout the site - remember to bring your own lock.
Parking: For weekday Beach=Culture events May-September, there is a daily $8 parking charge at the park and pay machines available in three areas of the ACBH parking lot. For hourly and weekend fees, please check the website for details.

Please note that there is bike parking available onsite - bring a lock. Car parking is available and is generally $3/hr; rates can vary.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the event; reservations are released then and late seating is not guaranteed. Although Eventbrite's automatic email encourages you to print your ticket out, at this time we only require you to give your last name at the door. If an event is at capacity, we will generally open a waitlist online and you can sign up. We will not contact you; just plan to arrive by 15 minutes prior to the event and we will assess unclaimed reservations then.
