Event description
Enjoy an evening of great music, dancing and camaraderie, while benefiting local refugees.

About this Event

Come join your friends and neighbors for an evening of great music, dancing and camaraderie, while benefiting those seeking refuge in our local communities.

The night will feature the highly danceable music of Stanley and the Undercovers playing classic rock from the ’60s and ’70s, as well as a range of international desserts. A cash bar will be available.

Have fun while helping reach our goal to raise $25,000 to support local immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. All proceeds from the event will be shared by two organizations providing important support services for local refugees and immigrants: the Arlington, Cambridge and Somerville (ArCS) Cluster of RIM and the United Legal Defense Fund for Immigrants.

Tickets

Suggested donation of $25 per ticket, available in advance and at the door. To pay by check, see check payment information below.

More about the Sponsored Organizations

The Arlington, Cambridge and Somerville (ArCS) Cluster of RIM supports refugees and asylum seekers in establishing their lives in our communities by mobilizing a network of local volunteers. The Cluster provides practical help, emotional support and financial assistance to individuals and families throughout their journey to establish themselves in a new community. Cluster volunteers offer safe housing, food, clothing, medical assistance, vocational training and much more.

The United Legal Defense Fund for Immigrants supports critical pro bono legal defense services for local immigrants—our neighbors and friends at risk of detention and deportation. The Fund helps individuals and families in Cambridge and Somerville impacted by ongoing shifts in Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, and those seeking asylum. Deportation proceedings are civil matters; lawyers are not provided by the court. Those with legal representation have a five times higher chance of achieving a favorable outcome.
