Learn more about Zag’s origins below:

Afro/Congolese, hip hop, reggae/dancehall, latin, and modern/contemporary, thus are dance styles that have influenced Zag as a dancer. Zag is a native of Congo. He grew up in an environment that allowed him to become the self-taught dancer that he is. Zag has the street or rooted knowledge of some traditional Congolese dances, ndombolo, coupé decalé, and various African dance styles. His drive to become a better dancer had him pursue hip hop in 2008. Since then, Zag has choreographed and performed both in Congo and the United States. Zag came to encounter different styles of dance in 2013 after coming to the US and joining Universal image dance team at John Jay college. However, Zag’s African heritage is the most influential component of his dance style. He choreographed and danced with many artists including Hood Celebrity, Jay Q the Legend, Eddy Kenzo, and the legendary Fally Ipupa.
