Event description

Description

Dynamic on stage, down to earth off stage, 14-time Grammy winner Dan Tyminski has the voice, instrumental chops, and charisma to be counted among the most recognizable and popular male vocalists in today’s bluegrass and country music scenes.

After a stint in the Lonesome River Band, he’s been a member of Union Station for 25 years, pitching in on a load of side projects along the way. Tyminski contributed guitar and/or harmony to projects by Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Leann Rimes, Aaron Lewis and Rob Thomas, to name a few. He provided the singing voice for George Clooney’s on-screen character in O Brother, Where Art Thou?, earning multiple trophies through the fictitious Soggy Bottom Boys’ “I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow.” And in 2013, Tyminski sang lead on Avicii’s international pop hit “Hey Brother,” which reached #1 on charts in at least 18 countries.

On June 28, 2019, Dan Tyminski and his bluegrass band, featuring Tony Wray on Banjo, Michael Gregory on bass and Chaston Carroll on mandolin, light up the stage of The Kirby Theatre for a stellar night of bluegrass music you won't soon forget.

Arrive early, no reserved seating; Doors open at 6pm. Concessions available.
