It's the St. Patrick's Day Parade time and you know what that means.... lots of bottles and cans that need recycling! The Dallas Sierra Club and Dallas Young Sierrans are teaming with the City of Dallas to provide a Recycling Team for the parade. We'll be in the parade at the end of the line gathering recyclables from parade goers. We are looking for some energetic volunteers to join the Team. We need a minimum of 20 volunteers to make this happen.
We meet at the large parking lot at the SE corner of Park Lane and Greenville Ave right across the corner from the Park Lane DART station (take the train if you can since parking is very limited in that area). We will meet at 10am, the parade begins at 11am. We'll provide recycling bags to all the Team members. We also give all Team members a Dallas Sierra Club Recycling Team t-shirt.
Every year we've gotten such a great reception from parade goers, many of them hold on to their bottles and cans to be able to hand them over to us when we come by. It's really great participation from everyone!
After the parade, stick around and have some eats and drinks with the Team and then go have some St. Paddy's Day fun along Greenville Ave. We will see you there!
