Mid-summer gem in North Texas! Two-day festival named after South African icon Nelson Mandela. Join the fun and cause --a two-day food drive to restock the metro area's food shelves as concert goers are asked to bring several cans of food to be donated to the North Texas Food Bank; festival awards five continuing education scholarships and also supports the Innocence Project of Texas. The Mandela Fest set in Lynn Creek Park, adjacent to beautiful Joe Pool Lake, features live music from every genre, food court and retail vendors. Don't miss this goodwill laden festival honoring the memory of Mr. Nelson Mandela and feeding the hungry in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
Event is all-ages. There is free admission for children under aged 13, however, minors must be accompanied by an adult; also at festival discretion, proof of age can be randomly enacted by festival ticketing person. Exception for VIP section: Full seat price must be purchased for minors seating in VIP section.
