About this event
Join us for this three part workshop series designed to build cultural competence. Each course builds upon the last and it is intended that participants commit to all three dates:
February 11, February 25, & March 4 from 9am to 12pm at the DuPont Environmental Education Center.
Cultural competence is the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with people whose identities are different from one's own. Developing this competency is personal work that begins with having an openness to listen, a willingness to share, and a desire to learn. We at DAEE are committed to being an inclusive agency and will start this work at the individual level. Join our workshops to engage in conversation on topics of shared stories, implicit bias, microaggressions, tokenism, and systemic racism.
