Da Vinci Summer Camps 2023

Kick off your summer fun with six exciting in-person camps at Da Vinci Schools in beautiful El Segundo! Da Vinci Summer Camps are open to the general public.

ROBOTICS CAMP: Campers will learn basic engineering concepts using LEGO Mindstorms, while designing, building and programming their robots to complete a challenge based on the 2023 CHARGED UP FIRST Robotics Challenge. Mentored by students on the World Champion Da Vinci Robotics Team, campers will complete a wide range of robot objectives based on each student’s skill level and interest. For students entering grades 2-9.

GRAPHIC DESIGN CAMP: Campers will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop and develop professional graphic design skills. Each day, students will learn how to use a new Photoshop tool or technique in response to a fun or interesting design challenge. At the end of the camp, students will create a final piece that shows off all their skills. For students entering grades 6-9.

BOARD GAME CAMP: Guided by students in the Youth & Government program, campers will explore different worlds through a variety of different board games. From brain twisters to adventurous journeys, campers will compete against others their age in their path to victory! For students entering grades 2-5.

PUPPET-MAKING CAMP: This camp will focus on the fundamentals of character creation/design with campers taking home their own Muppet-style puppet. We’ll go over the basics of puppet building and the history of The Muppets and Sesame Street. For students entering grades 6-9.

ART CAMP: Campers will enjoy a multidisciplinary summer art experience, exploring historical and contemporary art through working with acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing, comics/cartooning, printmaking and ceramics. For students entering grades 2-5.

CERAMICS CAMP: Campers will learn how to make functional and sculptural ceramics using hand building techniques such as coil and slab building. Students will make a pinch pot, toothbrush/pencil holder, ceramic mask and object of their choice. For students entering grades 6-9.

• Ceramics Camp | 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (entering grades 6-9)

COST: $250 per 4-day week/per AM or PM session

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: We will provide a refund up to 7 days before camp starts. Eventbrite fees are not refundable.

Morning campers may be dropped off as early as 8:30AM. All campers must be picked up within 15 minutes of camp ending. Lunch supervision is provided for campers participating in both the AM and PM sessions. **Please complete a separate registration for each child.**
