da Playground Maui welcomes Desert Hollow!

Doors open at 6P / Show at 7P - Tickets are limited to accommodate social distance between tables.

In order to be aligned with the Covid-19 restrictions, tickets will be sold by the table of 2, 3, 4, or 5 at $15 PP. All tables are socially distanced, please wear your masks when you're not actively eating or drinking. A clear barrier will surround the artist on stage for added protection and 10 feet from the audience. Your safety is our #1 concern!

The name Desert Hollow is a definition for the geographical and artistic influences of this farm fresh, California based duo. Xander comes from the West Virginia countryside, and Nicole from the California desert. Her lilting vocal seems to melt into the sturdy, eclectic musical beds of each tune. His voice is as deliberate as an old-school folkie singing with no amplification. When the two come together in harmony, it’s as if they have known each other all their lives. Flaunting a Gram and Emmylou-like confidence in their delivery, one is pulled back through the decades in a time machine made of stringed instruments only to land in present day Los Angeles’ alt-country scene.

The two are grateful to be living and creating locally on Maui for the time being as they prepare the release of their debut record, “Thirsty” this spring.

da Playground Maui Located within the Maui Harbor Shops in Mā‘alaea, da Playground’s convenient location seeks to attracts guests from Lahaina, Kihei and Central Maui. By day, it’s a casual sports bar and transforms into a sophisticated, cutting-edge live entertainment venue by night. Relax after a beautiful cruise on the water and watch your favorite teams during the day on over 10 strategically-placed, big screen TVs. When permitted, the establishment will be equipped with ping pong tables, cornhole, darts, retro video games. Management is currently following sanitary guidelines in compliance with Maui County due to COVID.
