Join us as we discuss the future of interstate 345. Ian Lockwood is a traffic engineer with 30 years of experience in changing the transportation paradigm toward one that is more economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable. In 2009, his integrated transportation and land use plan in New Jersey was awarded the Institute of Transportation Engineer's national Project of the Year. He was a 2012 Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Along with Wick Allison, editor-in-chief of D Magazine, and Patrick Kennedy, urban designer and planner, Lockwood will discuss how transportation planning has affected Dallas’ present and how we might repurpose transportation for a better future.
