Gwybodaeth am y digwyddiad

Bydd yr ail Symposiwm ar Fargeinion Dinesig yn ystyried darpariaeth y pedair Bargen Ddinesig a’r Partneriaethau Datblygu yng Nghymru; yn rhanbarth Dinas Caerdydd; Bae Abertawe; Canolbarth Cymru a gogledd Cymru. Bydd y sesiynau’n edrych ar ddyheadau’r Bargeinion Ddinesig hyn a bargeinion twf, gan gynnwys papurau a thrafodaethau ynghylch eu llywodraethu a’u dyheadau o ran tyfu. Bydd hyn yng nghyd-destun strategaeth datblygu economaidd yng Nghymru.

Mae'r digwyddiad ar gyfer gweneuthurwyr polisi, y rhai sy'n gweithio mewn awdurdodau lleol, busnesau ac ynchwilwyr academaidd ac fe'i trefnwyd ar y cyd rhwng Academi Morgan ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe a Sefydliad Ymchwil, Data a Dulliau Cymdeithasol ac Economaidd Cymru (WISERD).

About this event
This second Symposium on City Deals will consider the delivery of the four City Deals and Development Partnerships in Wales, in the Cardiff City region, Swansea Bay, Mid Wales and North Wales. Sessions will look at the ambitions of these City Deals and growth deals and will include papers and discussion about their governance and ambitions for growth, in the context of a strategy for economic development in Wales.

The event is aimed at decision-makers; those working in local authorities; businesses and academic researchers and is organised collaboratively between Swansea University’s Morgan Academy and the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD).

The Morgan Academy

The Morgan Academy, named after the late Rhodri Morgan, former First Minister of Wales and Swansea University Chancellor, is a research-based think tank created to deal with the pressing ‘wicked issues’ of public policy in Wales and the wider World. Based in Swansea University, the Morgan Academy works across subject disciplines and, as well as promoting critical thinking, works collaboratively to promote innovative evidence-based policy.
