Event description

Description

Better biking is coming to Waterloo Region—with your help. Join CycleWR on April 29 to talk about creating a bikeable Waterloo Region.

CycleWR is a new coalition that advocates for cycling in Waterloo Region to be a safe, respected, convenient, and everyday mode of transportation for people of all ages and abilities. We envision a Waterloo Region where people of all ages and abilities feel safe to commute to work, ride to school, run errands, and enjoy their neighbourhoods on their bicycles.

Drop by to meet our growing cycling community in the Region and find out how you can get involved in the #CyclistsofWR campaign, making cycling an election issue, and more.

We know that everyone has different cycling experiences and needs, so it's important to us that we hear from a wide range of people, especially underrepresented voices like women, immigrants, people who bike with their families, and people who would like to bike but don't.

Please share this with anyone you know who might be interested, and register for this free event to let us know you’re coming by!

If you can't make it on the 29th, you can sign up to our mailing list at cyclewr.ca so we can let you know about future events and ways to help!

Learn more about CycleWR in our recent press release.

Light refreshments will be served. This is a family-friendly event. Open Sesame is a physically accessible space, with one single occupancy gender-neutral bathroom.
