Cyber Security: PROTECT YOURSELF - Wednesday, 10/18 @ 6 p.m. Eric Favetta, a local resident with a Masters from Fordham University in Cyber Security will be discussing topics in Cyber Security such as: how to secure your identity, what to look for when responding and receiving emails and phone calls. How easy is is for someone to hack into your life. Besides his Masters in Cyber Security, Eric has worked in the finance, health and goverment sector. He has worked with counter terror, safe guarding major health and finance industries. He has built infrastructures from the ground up to ensure the safety of private citizens, large banks, medical field and government. The more they know about you, the easier it is to steal your money or your identity. Learn how to protect yourself and others and why it is so vitally important. The finance industry is attacked every day by hackers. The medical industry is vulnerable to hacking as well, insulin and cardiac monitors utilize Body Area Networks that can be hacked. Residents and business owners, come and learn how to protect yourself. This seminar will be an eye opener for many. Eric will go over the mind of the attacker, what they look for, how phishing, spear phishing, pretexting, hacking, and iOS works and how all of this can be used.
