Spamhaus Technology representatives will present the latest global trends used by spammers and cyber-criminals to hijack systems and introduce malware, ransomware & other malicious threats into target networks…and importantly how organisations can use threat intelligence to protect against the risks.

Topics covered include:

• The scale and nature of the spam threats including recent trends.

• Fraudulent techniques used by criminals to hijack networks for malicious activity.

• The importance of the Domain Name System for security and steps to mitigate risks.

Speaker Bios:

Peter Dorey’s role at Spamhaus Technology includes global marketing strategy & delivery. Peter, a former Royal Air Force officer, has worked in the defence & security sector for the past 15 years including roles with the defence company Thales in Paris and for Hewlett-Packard in the UK & Australia.

Matt Stith is the Product Manager for Spamhaus Technology. Matt is a nine year veteran in the internet anti-abuse industry. During his time with Rackspace he assisted the legal department with law enforcement requests and testimony. He is currently Vice-Chairman on the M3AAWG (Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group www.m3aawg.org) Board of Directors.
