“A Public Private Challenge”
October 22nd, Brussels - Belgium
Pre-conference activity to the ISSE 2012 conference 2012.
Meeting for and with European Cybersecurity strategy policy makers, in order to share experiences, best practices and meet with industry and research specialists from Europe
Introduction
Prior to the 2012 ISSE conference in Brussels, B-CCENTRE, LSEC and Microsoft invite you to actively participate to the Cybersecurity Strategy Europe activity, which aims to allow European countries’ and Member States’ representatives to share ideas and thoughts about their strategy, operations and plans to address cybersecurity issues in their respective countries.
Since 2007, Europe has become increasingly aware of the challenges the connected world is bringing along to a country’s economy, social structure and critical infrastructures, amongst many other things.
During this day, the aim is to bring together representatives of the European countries’ cybersecurity strategy task forces, operational units, CERT’s, policy makers, research and industry in order to discuss current and future challenges, and ways of mitigating threats, information sharing concepts locally and internationally, collaboration perspectives and industry relations.
On a global level, cyber security is being considered as a major concern for countries and their citizens. From a military, economical, health, and general security perspective, the challenges caused by the internet and the current ICT infrastructures these days, require a clear and agile response, capable of quickly addressing and containing threats and minimizing and mitigating the actual risks. The activity aims to foster the coordination and information exchanges amongst the different actors involved on a European scale and contribute to an efficient and effective cybersecurity strategy in Europe. In cooperation with :
