Description

Cybersecurity - Ethical Hackers boot camp, sponsored by Map Your Future, will introduce middle school students to basic skills of security as well as practical skills for the digital age. Led by Sevane Demol, founder of Code for Fun, the boot camp will teach students the fundamentals of cyber security and protect their identity online as well as how to be a digital citizen in the 21st century, computation thinking skills, and programming using Python.

This event is organized by Silicon Valley Career Pathways, Map Your Future, and Invent Your Future Enterprises.

Instructor Bio:



Servane Demol is the founder of Code for Fun, a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing students to computer science at an early age and helping them grow in the next generation of engineers.

Servane is noted for her enthusiasm in technology and helping students, especially girls, get a head start in their engineering careers. In the past, Servane worked as a manager at Facebook, senior manager and software engineer at Align Technology. She holds degrees from Arizona State University and HEI - Hautes Etudes d'Ingénieur.
