CyberCon 2.0: Youth Focus Day April 28, 2017

Due to the success of CyberCon Four Corners we are proud to announce a new event: CyberCon 2.0 Four Corners Student and Family Day! This is a special day for middle and high school students and their families to learn more about cybersecurity and future careers in technology.
The morning will begin at 9:30 with registration and a continental breakfast. The breakfast speaker will address Cyber Bullying and Careers in Cyber Security.
Students will break into workshops of their choice:
1) Cyber Patriot competition led by Dr. Daniel Manson. Dr. Manson, Co-PI CyberWatch West, is a Professor and Department Chair in Computer Information Systems at California State Polytechnic University. Dr. Manson has taught Information Systems Auditing, Internet Security and Computer Forensics and served as the campus Information Security Officer.
2) Nanotechnology presented by Dr. Sal Rodriquez of Sandia Labs. A nuclear scientist, Dr. Rodriguez will present how dealing with matter at the nuclear level will revolutionize our future concept of everything from manufacturing to medicine. Hands-on experiences will be provided.
3) Hardening Your Identity presented by Richard Hammer. Mr. Hammer is a research and development scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and is a senior cyber security engineer.
Finally, during a pizza lunch, students will hear from Dr. Manson about Cyber Security Clubs.
This event is FREE but you MUST register to attend.

The presentations are geared toward mid-school and up.
