Learn the basics of cyanotype print process in this hands-on workshop led by artist Amanda McKeever of AK Woodworking and Design.

About this Event

This introduction to cyanotype is perfect for people with no background in photography but who want to learn about cyanotype and botanical sun-prints. Enjoy snacks and drinks as you learn about the fun and experimental cyanotype process. Each student will learn how to mix the cyanotype solution, apply the solution, and experiment with making their own sun prints.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of cyanotype, practice making prints, and experimenting with different botanicals. You will leave with an assortment of prints and a packet full of helpful information so that you can continue to make prints at home.

All materials provided. Snacks and drinks provided by The Commune.

**In the event of rain, this workshop will have to be rescheulded to Sat. Sept 28. at 1pm. We will email everyone with information should this happen, and those who cannot attend the rescheduled workshop will receive a refund.

Amanda McKeever is a mixed media artist who grew up by the beach in Plymouth, MA. After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design she and her husband moved to Austin, TX where they started their own small woodworking business called A&K Woodworking and Design.
