Event description
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the progress on CWPPRA's Northwest Turtle Bay Marsh Creation (BA-125) Project!

About this Event

The Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) was enacted in 1990 to stabilize, protect, and rebuild Louisiana's coastal wetlands. Managed by five federal agencies (the Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District, EPA, USFWS, USDA NRCS, and NOAA NMFS) and a partnership with the State of Louisiana's Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, CWPPRA has authorized over 200 coastal restoration or protection projects that have benefited over 100,000 acres in Louisiana. Because of the success of the CWPPRA program, we are excited to celebrate our restoration and protection projects in Barataria Basin, specifically the Northwest Turtle Bay Marsh Creation (BA-125) project, at the 2019 Coastal Celebration.

This is a free public event open to all.

Coffee and lunch will be provided.

Outdoor or business casual attire recommended. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required for field trip.
