About this event
October, 29, 2020, is Latinas Women's Equal Pay Day. This date reflects the status of Latinas current earnings. Latinas make just 54 cents in comparison to what a white non-Hispanic male makes. Aside from working the entire previous calendar year, October 29 represents how far into 2020, a Latina must work to earn what a white non-Hispanic male made in the 2019 year alone. Gender and race equality and equity are critical in organizations that want to perform at the highest level.
However, currently, Latinas have to work 303 more days than white men to earn the same amount of money. We can do something about it.
Join us on October 29, 2020, for the fourth annual Latinas Equal Pay Day Commemoration Project, a panel discussion featuring leading experts and tune into a special series of the podcast, Conversations for Equal Pay.
Women of Color In the Workplace has partnered with several organizations to present a panel discussion that will raise awareness about the pay gap impacting Latinas in the United States. During this event, you will learn more about the Latinas pay gap, what different organizations are doing to tackle this issue, and the various steps you can take to make a difference.
