CUT PAPER: A PATHWAY TO WRITING

Presented by: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

Led by Jamin Carter, artist and visual art specialist from Tennessee
The process of beginning with an idea and developing it into a story can be challenging for young authors. In this fascinating workshop, explore how students can use construction paper, scissors, and glue to create artwork that becomes the bridge between an idea and a unique, descriptive story. Learn to use selected elements of art, such as shape, size, space, and color, to connect to story components of character, setting, events, main idea, and details.
DATES: 12/6/2016, 12/7/2016

Times: 4:30–7:30 p.m.

Length of Event: 3 hours

Location: The Kennedy Center

2700 F Street, NW Washington, DC 20566
