The trainer is Michael R. Noel, of Lazaro & Noel, LLC. Michael brings over 40 years of experience in the transit industry with a strong background in transit training, strategic and statewide planning, and safety and security. In his four decades in the transit industry, he has worked in over 42 states, conducting reviews and training for more than 300 transit systems. He is a nationally acclaimed motivational speaker, having presented at dozens of local, state, and Federal transit meetings and conferences and facilitated numerous staff developmental and strategic planning retreats.
Michael contributed to the model Safety and Security Emergency Preparedness Plan (SSEPP) which is the nationally-accepted model for transit systems across the country. He has also provided technical insight and input into the highly anticipated FTA safety and security guidelines. Michael's focus is primarily on safety and security projects and he is a lead trainer for a variety of topics including transit management, strategic planning, customer service, operator safety, safety and security planning and compliance, and more.
