Customer Discovery: Find Your Customers [IN-PERSON]
Overview
Customer Discovery: Find Your First Customers
Before logos, websites, or funding—know who your customer is and what they actually need. This hands-on session helps you test your assumptions, talk to real people, and learn how to shape an idea around real problems.
What you’ll do
- Define your “who.” Draft a simple Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and early-adopter persona.
- Turn guesses into tests. List your top 3 assumptions to validate.
- Build a quick interview plan. Where to find people, how many to talk to, and how to avoid leading questions.
- Use a simple script. Create a 10-question problem-interview outline you can use this week.
- Capture signals, not compliments. Log insights to decide: pivot or proceed.
You’ll leave with
- A 1-page customer hypothesis,
- A ready-to-use interview script + tracker,
- Next-steps for 10 customer conversations in the next 14 days.
(We’ll reference the Customer/Problem parts of the Business Model Canvas and share a template in session.)
Who should attend: Anyone with an idea or early-stage business who wants to be sure they’re building for the right people. No experience required.
In-Person Only. Seats are limited.
