Event description

Description

Obesity is a global pandemic with rates at least doubling in more than 70 countries since 1980. Many countries now face a “double burden,” where undernutrition coexists with overnutrition.

On October 9th, the Roundtable on Obesity Solutions will host a workshop to explore the current state of obesity globally, global prevention and treatment efforts, and the complexity of the global approach to managing the obesity epidemic. The workshop will include perspectives on the implications of obesity as a global problem for prevention and treatment efforts in the US, with an emphasis on reducing disparities. An agenda and registration information will be posted soon.
