Event description

Description

School-based therapists working with the New York City Department of Education (and Therapeutic Resources) are expected to understand and comply with the Department of Educations’ Practice Guide.

To be most effective, therapists must complete paperwork according to the requirements of the Department of Education. This seminar will cover the guidelines for writing Daily Session Notes, PLOPs, IEP goals, Annual Reports and Quarterly Updates/Reports. The Committee on Special Education (CSE) is closely monitoring therapists paperwork to ensure that requirements are being met to justify the rationale for the recommended services. Therapists should utilize evidence-based practice (EBP) which can be challenging, but with proper knowledge and support, outcomes can be gratifying. This three-hour seminar is designed to familiarize school based therapists with tools to complete necessary documentation, move students along the continuum, utilize EBP and current trends.

**This course is at no cost for therapists currently working with Therapeutic Resources in our School Based Services Division. To register, please log into your portal and enter the promotional code on the main page. You can log into the portal by clicking HERE.
