Curling Clinic: League-Level Skipping
Monday, March 18, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (PDT)
Taught By: Bruce Irvin
Skipping in league games can be fun and rewarding. You just need to follow a few simple principles and learn a few easy tricks to help your team play well, win games, be good sports and have fun. This clinic covers the basics of skipping in league games, including basic signals, strategy, team dynamics and responsibilities.
This clinic is intended for new skips and those thinking about becoming a skip in Evergreen CC leagues. Most of the topics will also be relevant for vice-skips. The clinic is not appropriate for competitive curlers aiming to win playdowns and other competitive events. Two-thirds of the clinic will take place off-ice with the final third on-ice.
