About this event
Join us for an in-person walkthrough of the second iteration of Ways of Seeing: Three Takes on the Jack Shear Drawing Collection led by curator and artist Arlene Shechet. Shechet will explain her imaginative and personal approach to her installation of drawings selected from the expansive collection of artist, curator, and President of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation, Jack Shear.
As a sculptor, Shechet's installation considers the physical space of the galleries and the viewing environment of the drawings. Shechet's selection of drawings highlight connectivity, and intimacy, and includes a diverse group of figures including Lee Bontecou, Edward Burne-Jones, Salvador Dalí, Elaine de Kooning, Robert Gober, Marsden Hartley, Lee Lozano, Agnes Martin, Henri Matisse, Elizabeth Murray, Jim Nutt, Odilon Redon, Georges Seurat, Al Taylor, and Joseph Yoakum, among many others.
Ways of Seeing, Take Two: Arlene Shechet will be on view from November 13 through December 23.
Please note that masks and proof of vaccination are required in order to attend this event.
