Event description

Description

Helen Mort is five-time winner of the Foyle Young Poets Award, and received the Eric Gregory Award in 2007 and the Manchester Young Writer Prize in 2008. Carol Ann Duffy has described her as 'among the brightest stars in the sparkling new constellation of young British poets’. Her first full-length collection, Division Street, was shortlisted for the Costa Book Award and the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2013 and won the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize in 2014. Her second collection, No Map Could Show Them, was published by Chatto & Windus in 2016. In addition to poetry, Helen also writes creative non-fiction, and is currently working on her first novel.

The event will begin with a reception at 8pm, with the talk commencing at 8.30pm, followed by a Q&A.
