What is the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies?
CUNY Baccalaureate (CUNY BA) offers highly motivated students who have unique academic and career goals the opportunity to design their own Areas of Concentration (AOC) (similar to majors) in collaboration with faculty mentors. (You get to design your own major in CUNY!) It's a program that runs within CUNY.
CUNY BA virtual information sessions give an overview of the program. This includes:
- application process (no fee to apply)
- tips on finding courses for your Area of Concentration (AOC; CUNY BA's version of a major)
- the role of the faculty mentor
- benefits of the program

CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies
CUNY Baccalaureate offers highly motivated, academically strong students the opportunity to design individualized programs of study (design his/her own Bachelor's degree in CUNY). This degree route is designed for students who have well-formulated academic and career goals and the vision and drive to design their own areas of concentration in collaboration with faculty mentors.
Information Sessions
Information sessions for prospective students cover the program overview, degree requirements, and application process. Sessions begin promptly and are approximately one hour long. Virtual sessions are held online. CUNY BA accepts applications throughout the year. Students are encouraged to apply as far in advance of the semester for which they are interested in joining the program as possible.
