ANNOUNCEMENT

The Barron County Sheriff's Department - Office of Emergency Management will be holding a full-scale mass casualty exercise on Saturday, June 29th from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the City of Cumberland.

VOLUNTEERS

24 volunteers are needed to participate as simulated patients.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will be asked to wear clothing that can get dirty (clothing will not be cut or removed), however you will be lying on the ground for a brief period of time. Volunteers will also be asked to arrive at 8:00am for briefing and setup.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN

As a patient, you will be placed on the ground with a card that outlines your simulated injuries. Upon EMS arrival, you will be relocated to a medical staging area and then loaded into an ambulance for transport. Patients for this exercise are being transported to the local fire department instead of the hospital. Some patients will be transported by helicopter.

WHO CAN ATTEND

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (13-15 years old can participate but must be accompanied by a parent). This is a great opportunity for a family event. Once you're registered, you will be emailed additional event details.
