About this event
The 2022 Cumberland County Master Gardener Volunteer Association Spring Gardening Symposium will be held on June 25, 2022, from 8:30-4:30 PM at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, 536 N Eastern Blvd, 28301, Fayetteville, NC. Its purpose? To raise funds for horticulture scholarships, $1500 each, as well as grants to teachers with horticulture programs, and to sustain local gardens.
Speakers will be noted author and hands-on sustainer of insects, native plants, and the planet itself, Doug Tallamy; NC State's and UNC TV's Bryce Lane, known to all for his humor and his expertise in horticulture teaching and communications; our own Kenny Bailey, whose family stories on heirloom seed saving need to be shared over and over and over again; and finally, Dawn Adkins-Hurley whose onsite container creations will be raffled off to some lucky winner.
A Garden Lawn Buffet lunch created by Chef Judy, a Food Network winner, raffles, & vendors, will be included in an educational and fun day for all. See You There!
- THE GARDEN WILL BE OPEN FOR VISITING. (No fee)
CCEMGVA Symposium will follow CDC protocol at that time.
