As part of the Miners Memorial Weekend events, the Cumberland Museum will host a walking tour of the Cumberland Cemetery. Established in 1895, the Cumberland Cemetery is a resting place of generations of Cumberlanders. Through the interwoven stories of the lives lived we can learn of the trials and challenges of an early mining town. Disasters struck, activists shouted out and everyday heroes are the legacy of our community.

Join Museum Director Rosslyn Shipp as she shares the stories of our past that have impacted today, on this 90-minute tour.

The cemetery grounds are uneven please wear comfortable walking shoes.
