Description

Compassion, Achievement, and Hope build the essential foundation for a restorative school culture. Participate in an interactive workshop designed for district and school level administrators, deans, instructional coaches, and teacher leaders. Participants will examine existing best practices, and explore new resources and evidence- based strategies that will build adult capacity to strengthen leadership and the school’s climate and culture for all stakeholders.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Explore beliefs, life experiences, personal context and the impact these have on leadership decisions

  • Examine adult values that align and reinforce student expectations and behaviors

  • Learn a structure to have challenging conversations to address behaviors and support changes critical to building a high achieving school culture for all students and staff

  • Align ESSA school quality indicators to district and/or school improvement plans

  • Review social emotional learning systems and structures in your district/school and identify strategies to build and sustain compassion, hope, and high achievement for all staff and students

  • Apply restorative and research based practices to support equitable and culturally responsive practices

  • Build foundational systems that celebrate values, attract highly qualified candidates, and retain highest performers

  • Lunch will be provided for all participants
