Event description
A two-day conference focused on school climate through a racial equity lens

About this Event

Rutgers University Institute for Improving Student Achievement (RIISA) and Ramapo for Children are proud to partner on the inaugural Culture, Climate, and Community Conference.

This two-day event will feature keynote speakers, networking opportunities, and an action-based approach to building capacity and raising awareness for culturally responsive practice and processes that support the deconstruction and dismantling of institutional racism (e.g., increasing student agency and voice, engaging in difficult conversations about race and racism) and integrating tenets of equity and student learning towards creating and/or sustaining equitable school environments.

This conference is appropriate for school and district leadership/administrators, teachers, school psychologists, school counselors, student support services personnel, potential partners in this field, and other professionals working with or on behalf of students and families.

Fees: One Day Ticket (3/17/2020 only) – $175 each; Two Day Ticket (3/17/2020 and 3/18/2020) – $300 each
