Event description
Wind in the Blood shares the profound similarities and complex medical systems between traditional Mayan and Chinese medicine.

About this Event

Join us for our next Culture Club event — our second book club! The Influential Point's Latinx team is leading a discussion of Wind In the Blood, a book about the profound similarities between traditional Mayan and Chinese medicine. Mexican physicians Hernan Garcia, Antonio Sierra and Hiberto Balam writes about the richness of these two cultures and its impact on whole-person health.

We've partnered with Eastwind Books of Berkeley, a small independent bookstore dedicated to books on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Martial Arts, Asian American literature, and Ethnic Studies since 1982. They have graciously offered a 10% discount and an additional 15% discount [code: HOLIDAY15] until December 31.

We're pleased to share that this event will be hosted by IP's Latinx Team advisor Jacqueline Arellano and our dear friends Dr. Erin Sandoval and Dr. Hilda Gonzalez.

Culture Club has limited tickets to hold space for an intimate session. General and Student tickets are available. This event is open to acupuncturists and non-acupuncturists. All registered attendees will receive a recording of the event.

A portion of the funds from this event will support BIPOC Traditional Chinese Medicine students to continue their education.
