Event description

Description

“Responding to the needs of trans communities: What all social workers need to know” is a 3 hour workshop that will engage participants around applying generalist social work skills to working with trans and nonbinary clients and communities. Through small group discussion, case studies, and data analysis, participants will learn about trans and nonbinary people’s lived experiences. This perspective will assist participants in viewing trans and nonbinary people from a strengths-based perspective and consider how to work with trans and nonbinary people as holistic individuals.

Presented by: Kirsten Keith, Director of PSU's Queer Resource Center

Hosted by: PSU's School of Social Work

Workshop is from 9am-12pm, followed by a catered lunch from 12-1pm.
