Cultural Humility Training

CHCACT is partnering with Health Equity Solutions to provide a Cultural Humility training to expand awareness on cultural disparities to increase patient engagement in their care and improve health outcomes. Health Equity Solutions will be utilizing a train-the-trainer model to support all staff employ cultural humility and health equity concepts.

Cultural Humility is defined as a lifelong process that ensures professionals learn about other cultures and are sensitive to cultural differences.

Objectives of this training include:

• Expand Health Center staff understanding of cultural humility and health equity

• Identify how to utilize the concepts of cultural humility to engaging patients in their care

• Bring awareness to Health center staff of their own bias

• Conceptualize different structures and barriers to patient care

This training is intended for those who are at the front lines of patient engagement and communication, and/or those who provide support and feedback for staff engaging patients. This may include administrative staff, clinical staff, and supervisors of front desk staff.

Program starts promptly at 9:00AM. Registration and light refreshments open at 8:30AM. Lunch will be provided
