Coffee is so much more than just a popular beverage; it represents a global cultural connection that transcends borders. Join Brewpoint’s Head Roaster, Haley Sliwa, and Founder and CEO Melissa Villanueva for a discussion about coffee and its relationship to cultures across the world. Learn about how and where Brewpoint sources their coffee and the people who contribute to your cup of “joe.” Afterwards, enjoy coffee samples and pastries while supplies last and to listen to live music performed by jazz guitarist Neal Alger and Brazilian percussionist Heitor Garcia from the Old Town School of Folk Music. Limit: 40 participants. More info at elmhursthistory.org or call 630-833-1457.
