Cultivating Connection & Pleasure through Enthusiastic Consent facilitated by Tanille Geib - Lover of Humans
Workshop Description:
Feeling overwhelmed in the post #metoo world? Feeling a little lost on how to share desires with people to connect? This workshop will delve into understanding the nuances of consent to make sure we are moving towards more connection and pleasure in our lives and our communities while lessening harm done in our culture. We look at how media and society has conditioned us to be unsatisfied with ourselves and others. This workshops will give you some skills and tools on how to cultivate enthusiastic consent on the dance floor, the board room, or being part of a family.

Workshop is sliding scale $15-$35 per person & no one turned away due to lack of funds. If you can not register on eventbrite and would like to receive a complimentary ticket to either or both wrokshops, please email hello@tanillegeib.ca

We would like to acknowledge that these events are taking place on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. A root cause of sexualized gender-based violence is colonialism, so it is up to us to make steps towards shifting these power dynamics.

Accessibility at the Annex:
Seating: Wheelchair seating is available on the main and gallery levels.
Washrooms: Wheelchair accessible washrooms are on the main level.
Elevators: Elevator access is available through the main entrance and will access all levels.

About Alley Theatre: Alley Theatre is interested in stories that are seldom told, be they comedic, dramatic, or a mix of both. We produce plays that “make the invisible visible”– through socially conscious content or surprising site-specific venue choices. We’ve mounted productions in hotel rooms, cafes, outdoor public spaces, punk rock venues, and the occasional theatre too! We use talkbacks, interactivity and panel discussions to foster active audience engagement. More at http://alleytheatre.ca/
