What to Expect
Focused breakout sessions (NEW) :: Learn more about the topics that are important to you – from registering your business to building a marketing plan to finding funding. Whereas previous Cultivate Lancaster events were centered on the Pitch & Brew experience, this time around we are structuring the event around a schedule of mini-seminars and workshops tailored for enterpreneurs and small business owners.
One-on-one mentoring (NEW) :: Take advantage of an opportunity to meet with a business mentor to discuss your unique challenges.
Pitch & Brew sessions :: In addition to the breakout sessions, there will still be an option for you to participate in a Pitch & Brew session. If you're not familiar, Pitch & Brew offers a chance for you to present your business ideas and entrepreneurial challenges to a mixed group of fellow entrepreneurs, resource providers and established business leaders to receive feedback.
Networking, networking, networking :: Take advantage of this valuable opportunity to connect with other local entrepreneurs while addressing and solving business challenges, brainstorming ideas and learning from one another
** Space is limited, so please sign up only if you plan on attending! Also, please fill out one registration per person.
Will food be provided?
Yes. Similar to our last event, there will be a variety of food trucks on hand for you to purchase your own dinner.
I've attended a Cultivate Lancaster event in the past – should I come again?
Yes. Perhaps you got some valuable feedback at the Pitch & Brew last time, made some adjustments to your business plan and want to let the group brew on your new direction. That's what being an entrepreneur is all about – iterating, evolving and, ideally, growing!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Free parking is available in the LNP Media lot on the corner of Vine and Queen streets, or on the street. The Central Garage on Vine Street is also located across the street from the Southern Market Center, however normal garage rates will apply.
Do I have to participate in the Pitch & Brew?
No. While this was the meat-and-potatoes of the first two Cultivate Lancaster events, this time around, the Pitch & Brew is an optional experience. That said, we totally recommend it, especially if you haven't yet participated in a Pitch & Brew.
But what if someone steals my idea after I present?
While we don't go so far as to require participants to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements, we do ask that you refrain from, you know, being a jerk. Don't steal other peoples' ideas! This is an opportunity to hone your concept, build relationships and grow. Bring your A-game, not your con-game.
