Registration for XTreme SIG
Registration for the Sunday XTreme meeting, requires conference registration as well. Approved and accepted NDA members only. The XTreme SIG requires a separate membership application. Attendance is limited, no more than 2 representatives per site please. Please contact the XTreme chairs (Tina Butler or Frank Indiviglio) for any questions or concerns.

Early Bird Registration: December 1, 2016 - March 5, 2017

Please Note: The deadline for room reservations at the Seattle Redmond Marriott at the conference rate is April 15, 2017. After that date rooms are available on a space and rate availability basis. We urge you to make your hotel reservation as early as possible.

Guest Tickets for the CUG Night Out

The CUG Night Out is included in the registration fee for attendees, but if you would like to bring a guest, someone not registered for the conference, they will need a guest ticket. Go to the Local Arrangements page for information. Note: Guest ticket fees increase to $100 during the late registration period.

Registration for the XTreme SIG

Members of the XTreme SIG that are also registered for the conference may attend the SIG meeting for a fee. Participation in the XTreme SIG is restricted to authorized representatives of SIG Member sites only and is not open to non-members. The XTreme SIG will meet on Sunday, May 7, 2017.

Cancellation/refund policy: Conference registration cancellations must be received by the CUG Office by April 28, 2017. All registration fees will be refunded (less a $25 service fee) if the cancellation is received by that date.

What are the important deadlines for the event?

All dates and times are in in the local timezone of the conference, Pacific Time. For the dates below starting times are 12:00 AM for registration opening days and 11:59 PM for deadlines (abstract submission, room block, and papers).

  • Abstract Acceptance Notification - February 17, 2017
  • Normal Registration Begins - March 6, 2017
  • Room Block Deadline - April 15, 2017
  • Papers & Presentations Due - April 3, 2017
  • Late Registration Begins - April 8, 2017

Who may attend? 

CUG meetings are not open sessions according to our organization's bylaws and guidelines. Attending CUG requires a documented affiliation with a CUG member site, sponsor, or approval as a visitor by one of the CUG officers. Admittance to any meeting session requires the appropriate identification badge. Approved non-members may register at the non-member rate during the normal or late period. 

Employees of a CUG Member site (identified by CUG Site Code), and users of computing services provided by a CUG Member site (as confirmed by the site voting representative), may attend a CUG meeting at the member rate. If you have any question about eligibility to attend please contact the CUG Board prior to registering or making travel arrangements.

There will be a hard limit of 200 participants at the CUG Night Out. Please be sure to accurately note what events you plan to attend in advance.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, should you not be able to attend you may transfer your registration to another person by contacting the local arrangements committeeNote: Registration fees can be refunded (less a $25 service fee) if cancellation is recieved by April 28, 2017.
