"Cuba: An African Odyssey" is a documentary about the Cuban Revolution's role in giving support and solidarity to African indpendence struggles in Angola, South Africa and elsewhere. During a time when Africans were fighting to end colonial domination of their land by the U.S. and Europe, Cuba stood on the side of African people.

This event is a fundraiser for a national campaign to win justice and reparations for victims of police murder in Pinellas County. Akile Anai of the Committee for Justice for the Three Drowned Black Girls will speak about the campaign.
