Cuba, Africa, & the World: A Tribute to Fidel Castro

In honor of the legacy of the late leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, you are invited to the second annual series “Cuba, Africa, and the World.”
Come for an afternoon of panel discussions and lively multi-media presentations reflecting on the role of Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz through history and his contributions to humanism, freedom and justice in the world, particularly Africa.
Performances by RodStarz, one half of hip hop duo Rebel Diaz, and vocalist Luci Murphy.
For countless freedom lovers and justice seekers in the world Cuba and Fidel are beacons of independence, sovereignty, resistance, and internationalism against western imperialism, and is the leading voice of the non-alignment movement. Join us January 7th, 2017!

This event is free and open to the public but a suggested $5 donation will be requested at the door to defray costs. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. West African cuisine will be served.
