Hosted by FIDM Alumni Relations and CTRL COLLECTIVE
Telling your creative story and making an impact with your design work increasingly requires an understanding of web technologies and programming fundamentals. This is not easy, but there are specific tools and subtle hacks to help.
We'll go through the core concepts of programming in this talk, Q&A and workshop by building an anonymous video app from scratch.
Get your terminology down: front end v back end, the difference between an SDK and an API (even many developers don't know this). Understand what mentalities are needed to succeed in tech. Build an anonymous video chat app and learn programming fundamentals - and share it with your friends and recruiters
Workshop is led by Will Sentance
Will Sentance is CEO of Codesmith, a coding residency and top-rated coding school in the United States. He completed his academic work at Oxford University and Harvard University. He has spoken on programming and entrepreneurship at Harvard, Yale, USC and Oxford University.
