CT Social Media Breakfast #13 - Social Media Iron Chef III
Event Information
Description
Three Social Media Pros - One Connecticut Non-Profit
Who can create the winning social media dish?
It's our Third Annual Social Media Iron Chef
For the third year in a row we're presenting our Annual Social Media Iron Chef competition. Where you can learn about the latest social media techniques in action AND contribute to a worthy cause.
Our expert panelists will be: Derek Beere from Mason Inc, Jessica Nana from iBlog4-u and Chris Rinaldi of Adams and Knight. Their challenge will be to be the "chefs" and develop a social media plan for a CT based non-profit in 30 minutes without any prior knowledge of the "secret ingredient".
While they are cooking away, Amanda Nelson of Salesforce MarketingCloud will present some of the latest thinking on strategies and tactics for non-profits in social media.
We can't identify our mystery non-profit, but we can tell you that it is a CT based organization that has helped many individuals and families across the state, and that all proceeds from ticket sales will go to them.
So save the date. Like previous Iron Chef sessions this looks to be a fun and informative way to learn and participate in social media and all for a very good cause.

What is SMBCT?
For all of us social media is a new, exciting, perplexing and constantly changing medium. The goal of the Connecticut Social Media Breakfast, (#SMBCT) is to fill the void of local discussion on this emerging media and bring together the many talented individuals in this arena in Connecticut in a shared, mutually beneficial and non-competitive environment. We welcome social marketers, communications and advertising professionals, CMO’s and marketing directors and others interested in learning about and participating in this growing and changing world.
Events will be held approximately every 6 weeks and will include a mix of panel discussions/debates, presentations from local experts, guest lecturers and thought leaders, new technology presentations from selected vendors and others. SMBCT will be hosted by the Quinnipiac University Interactive Communications Graduate Program.
