Come watch CSUN FASA's 29th Annual Pilipino Cultural Night as they showcase a theatrical interpretation of Filipino folkdance and culture along with a script play written by our own fellow alumni member, Shaun Remigio. His play, Summer Furlough, tells the story of a hard working music teacher from the Philippines in the 1980s. Paolo is motivated to keep his long distance relationship afloat by giving into his girlfriend’s demands and materialistic desires. During summer break for the school year, Paolo ventures off to the states to surprise the love of his life with his company. Unfortunately for Paolo, the surprise turns out to be for him. Devastation fills Paolo as he finds out that his dearest Nicole replaced him with another man. With Paolo depressed, his brother and sister-in-law offer him all the support he needs. Paolo’s extremely negative attitude is more than his family can take. In hopes to see Paolo happy again, his family is determined to set him up with ANYONE that can replace the void left by Nicole."
