Event description

Description

Come take part in the annual Colorado Weed Network field tour, a day of cutting-edge research where we will evaluate new long-term management tools for invasive winter annual grasses (cheatgrass/downy brome, Japanese brome, feral rye) throughout the Colorado Front Range. We will also be touring bare ground research trials and new downy brome research sites. Tour sites will include properties in Estes Park, Boulder County, and Louisville along with other additional sites. We will meet in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Loveland, where breakfast will be provided and tour buses will be available for transportation throughout the day to our tour sites. We will stop for lunch at the Boulder County Fairgrounds where a boxed lunch will be provided. Feel free to pass along this invitation to anyone that may be interested in attending. We look forward to seeing you in July! The 2016 field tour included county weed managers, private applicators, ranchers, and federal agencies as we attempt to provide solutions for invasive species management and provide the opportunity to foster further collaboration across boundaries. For out of town guests, the Embassy Suites Conference Center has a block of rooms at $199/night for the event under "CSU Weed Research Tour". Guestroom reservations can be made via telephone at 1-800-362-2779 or online at http://embassysuites.hilton.com/en/es/groups/personalized/F/FNLESES-CSW-20170712/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG
