Description

On behalf of Deputy Director, Valerie Boykin, and Statewide Program Manager, Beth Stinnett, you are invited to the Regional CSU-Provider Joint Quality Assurance (QA) Meeting.

Please send ONE LOCAL Administrative Representative from your agency to attend in EACH REGION that your agency provides services.

Purpose:

To come together for cross-agency learning and discussion on What Works in Juvenile Justice, the evolution of the juvenile justice field and the transformation of the Virginia’s juvenile justice system. Particular emphasis will be placed upon evidence-based and evidence-informed programs and principles, the impact of EBPs on program referrals, program funding and program planning, and quality assurance practices designed to ensure program fidelity. Participants will receive an overview of DJJ risk/needs tool, the Youth Assessment & Screening Instrument (or YASI). Participants will also learn about the status and implementation of DJJ’s newest structured decision making tool, a standardized dispositional matrix designed to inform recommendations to the court.
