Maxim Leyzerovich, Senior Experience Designer at nclud, will tell us about how to use just the browser to design for interaction.
This means not just for the browser - but in the browser. With (literally) just a few lines of code he'll show you how to create rich UI elements, simple interactions, & how to easily create popular interaction & web design techniques.
You should come away less scared of the browser, and more confident in how easy it is to design with the CSS mindset.
What you should know beforehand
The best audience is one with design experience and some basic knowledge of HTML & CSS, but any coding experience for the web is enough. A laptop is useful, but the goal is for you to leave inspired - not with code snippets. Remember, this isn't a development class, it's a design class.
