This month CSG, NYC coffee chat series is delighted to have Dr. Martin Akerman, CTO and Co-Founder of ENVISAGENICS.

Envisagenics is a startup from Cold Spring Habor Laboratory and focuses on the development of software to identify therapeutic targets through a combination of RNA-seq data.

Dr. Akerman is a visionary and a well-accomplished quantitative biologist with several publications in high-impact journals and an extensive record of academic and industrial collaborations. Dr. Akerman is the brain behind the proprietary algorithms that constitute SpliceCore, a cloud-based technology to predict biologically relevant and druggable splicing events. His mission at Envisagenics is to advance the world’s ability to cure diseases by discovering new and more efficient drug targets through the analysis and integration of transcriptome data.
